  • Water is not cold/hot

Make sure your unit is plugged in and the switches located at the back are to the ON position.

Wait 30 minutes for the water to cool/heat.

Reset the breaker or replace the fuse in your home.

Adjust the thermostat for your water dispenser colder (Countertop Models do not have an adjustable thermostat). The temperature of the hot water is not
    adjustable.

  • I have set the temperature to the lowest setting but it will not stay.

The water temperature will fluctuate by approximately 10°C. This is an energy-saving feature. Setting the temperature to the coldest setting allows the compressor to cool the water to the desired temperature. Once the temperature is reached, the compressor will turn off. It will start again automatically.
The countertop water dispensers operate with a semi-Conductor. The temperature is at a factory setting between 10 - 15°C, and cannot be adjusted.

    The GWD120, GWD230, GWD330 thermostat can be adjusted :
GWD120 Thermostat is located behind the condenser coil
GWD230, GWD330 thermostat is located behind the panel above the condenser coil
turn the thermostat clock wise to adjust the cold water colder.

On models with digital temperature displays, the thermostat is set as follows :

Choose to display temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius by pushing the buttons on the left of the digital display.

Push the snow flake button and hold down until the display starts to flash. While it is flashing, push the up or down arrow buttons to select the desired temperature for the cold water. Then push the snowflake button again. The display will stop flashing, and show the current water temperature. The thermometer will be moving, which indicates that the dispenser is working to arrive at the selected temperature. This may take approximately 1/2 hour.

There is no way to change the temperature of the hot water. It will fluctuate, depending upon the use of the hot dispenser and ambient room temperature, and the thermometer will move to indicate that the machine is working to return to the pre-set temperature.

  • Water Dispenser is noisy

It is normal to hear the motor turning on and off periodically.
Make sure the dispenser is on an even surface that can support the full weight.

    Bubbling sounds are also normal.

  • Water is dripping out of the cooler and onto the floor

The bottle may have small cracks or pinholes. Suggest to try a new bottle. Sign for this is if the water is leaking from the top.

The drain plug is not fastened properly. Check if the drain cap has a rubber seal inside.

If you are using our Greenway Filtration System, please ensure the bottle support collar or piercing valve is removed.

Make sure your water dispenser is level

  • The taps are not dispensing water.

Press button and hold for several minutes to release air in lines.

Unplug the unit for approximate 30 minutes and adjust thermostat.

Water dispenser may need cleaning. See your owner’s manual for cleaning instructions.

Water may not have filled reservoirs, let stand at least 30 minutes then try again.

Levers misaligned inside machine call customer service.

  • My water is dispensing slowly

To fill an 8oz glass of water on average will take about 30 seconds. This is normal. There is no adjustment that can be made.

  • The taps are leaking

Water dispenser may need cleaning. See your owner’s manual for cleaning instructions. Cleaning water spout inside with a cotton swab may solve the problem.

  • The contents of the refrigerator are not cold enough

Make certain you have purchased a water dispenser with refrigerator compartment and not a storage compartment. Look at the model number located on the silver label on the back of your water dispenser and refer to your owner’s manual.

The refrigerator section works with a sensor; you must place something inside the compartment in order to cool.
Water in fridge; condensation is normal.

  • The water has a plastic taste

To remove the plastic taste from new machines, drain the dispenser completely, first from the taps on the front, and then from the drain caps. On counter top models, there are two drain caps on the bottom of the machine. These are held on by metal springs. To loosen, push the looped ends of the springs together, and slide them off. Floor standing machines have a twist off drain cap on the back. Inside this is a small silicone plug which is placed directly in the drain tube. Be sure to remove both parts of the drain cap to empty the machine.

Remove the bottle support ring from the top of the dispenser. In the reservoir, put a solution of 3 cups white vinegar and 6 cups hot water. This will make its way down into the machine. Let it stand for 1/2 hour.

Drain the machine again, and flush with a good quantity of hot water.

Replace drain caps and bottle support ring, and install new water bottle. Wait 1/2 hour before plugging in and turning switches on.

  • I am getting white flakes in my water

This a sign of calcium build up in your water dispenser. Your water dispenser needs cleaning. See your owner’s manual for cleaning instructions.

  • Why do I have to wait 12 hours before starting my water dispenser?

We ask to wait 12 hours for the full standing water dispensers because these units are equipped with a compressor. This is to allow the oils in the compressor to settle before starting up your unit to allow full cooling capacity.

It is not necessary to wait for the 12 hours on the countertop water dispenser however you must allow the water dispenser to fill with water before starting any water dispenser. This takes upto 1/2 hour after the water bottle is installed.

The machine does not need to sit for 12 hrs. every time you change the water bottle.Machine needs to be un-plugged while changing the bottle (approximately 5 mins.)

Our models feature a piercing valve as part of the bottle support collar, providing added convenience for water bottle installation. Depending on the water bottle supplier, a small opening may or may not be present in the bottle cap for this specific purpose. If the piercing valve opening is not present, the entire bottle cap must then be removed to eliminate possible damage to the piercing valve. If the opening is present, remove the protective seal prior to installing the bottle. Please consult the Owner’s Manual for further information regarding water bottle installation.
