WHAT INFORMATION DOES GHP COLLECT FROM YOU?
If you provide GHP with your personal information, you may later access and modify it, and remove it from GHP’s computer system. You may choose simply not to provide personal contact information by opting-out at the point of collection. However, this may adversely affect GHP’s ability to provide you with the services that you may subsequently request from GHP (i.e. product warranty repair service).
GHP May Collect Your Name, Address, E-mail Address, Phone Number and Certain Electronic Information.
GHP may request your name, street address, e-mail address, telephone number or other contact information. In addition, when you visit the Website, GHP may automatically collect information about your browsing, clickstream data and computer configuration, such as your browser type, operating system, IP address or ISP domain name. GHP uses this information to complete and support the immediate activity requested, administer and run the Website, market products and services to you in the future (other than by telemarketing), build individual profiles for ongoing research, analysis and reporting, fulfilling warranty obligations to you and to comply with any requirements of law. This information may be disclosed to the staff and GHP’s immediate agents, and to other organizations and GHP service providers that adhere to privacy and confidentiality practices that are substantially similar to GHP’s privacy and confidentiality practices.
CERTAIN EXCEPTIONAL DISCLOSURES
GHP may disclose your personal information if necessary to protect its legal rights or if the personal information relates to actual or threatened harmful conduct to a third party. Disclosure may be required by law or if GHP receives a court order or other legal document issued by an administrative tribunal.
HOW DOES GHP PROTECT INFORMATION IT COLLECTS?
GHP follows commercially reasonable technical and management practices to help protect the confidentiality, security and integrity of the data collected through the Website. While no computer system is completely secure, GHP believes the measures implemented by the Website reduce the likelihood of security problems to a level appropriate to the type of data involved.
HOW LONG DOES GHP KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
GHP generally keeps your personal information on the server or in the archives for as long as GHP reasonably needs it. GHP may alter this practice according to changing requirements. For example, GHP may delete some data if needed to free up storage space. GHP may keep other data for longer periods if required by law. Your data management requests are administered in an orderly manner to the extent feasible and within the direct control of GHP. GHP has greater control over recently collected data than over archived data. Once data is removed from GHP’s computer system and archived, it may not be feasible to accommodate specific requests. In those cases, the general data retention policy applies.
